The City of Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu is proud to host the third edition of the SIVIC, the International Industrial Vehicle and Body Trade Show, which will be held September 9 to 11, 2008 at the Fort Saint-Jean Campus.

Born from the merging of four municipalities—Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Saint-Luc, L’Acadie, and Saint-Athanase—the City of Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu now boasts a population of some 90,000 citizens living on a territory that spreads over 225 square kilometre, right in the heart of the Montérégie. Located in the strategic Montreal-Boston corridor, Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu is also close to both the Communauté métropolitaine de Montréal (CMM) and the State of Vermont.

In terms of population and area, the City of Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu ranks first among the CMM’s seven satellite cities. With the merger, the City of Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu became the 11th largest city in Québec.

At the industrial level, Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu is home to a number of businesses operating in many areas, several of which related to transportation.

Choosing Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu again to host the SIVIC follows logically from the development of our city and region.

The Specialty Vehicles and Transportation Equipment Manufacturers’ Association (AMETVS) is proud to host the third edition of the SIVIC: an international trade show entirely dedicated to the industrial vehicles and specialized equipment industry.
